The Travelling Tailor moisturizer, after shave balm and specially formulated sunscreen lotions, are premium, lightly scented moisturizers that can be used regularly, to both reduce and prevent skin dryness and irritations that are extrinsically encountered every day.

Canada's vast Northern Forests are the grounds from which Canadian Fireweed^TM is cultivated, thereby ensuring that it is as pure as nature intended.

Skin, the body's largest organ, is continually under attack from many environmental factors including, airplane travel, sun, pollution, industrial chemicals, and even shaving, resulting in redness, dryness and inflammation.  The environmental assault on the skin is endless and has increased over the years.

The combination of strong anti-irritancy and free radical absorbing ability make Body Sense products ideal for all sun care , daily toning, and theraputic formulations.  All products containing Canadian fireweed are stable at low PH making them very beneficial in counterreacting the irritations caused by many AHA formulations.

Canadian Fireweed^TM

The Canadian Fireweed^TM (Epilobium angustifolium L), a plant from the evening-primrose family of plants, came by the name "fireweed" as it is typically among the first plants to flourish in the scorched areas following forest fires.  Its brilliant purple flower dominating the ravaged landscape is often recognized as the State Flower of Alaska.

In Canada, research has been done on the benefits that have been derived from North America's ancient peoples remedies from various plants.  Among this folklore is Canadian fireweed plant extract, that has been used in the healing of burns, dry skin irritations and minor cuts.  This research has produced conclusive evidence*.  "A typical body lotion formulated with Canadian Fireweed^TM and a 1% Hydrocortisone cream were compared in their ability to reduce both chemically induced and UV-induced redness in a pilot clinical test conducted on human skin.  The results clearly showed that the body lotion containing the extract of Canadian Fireweed^TM was found to reduce the redness faster than the 1% Hydrocortisone cream in both clinical studies."
